About

Built at a real table

Every regular home game has the same unpaid job: someone fronts the bank, counts the chips, remembers who re-entered twice, and untangles the IOUs at two in the morning. Chip Logs started as that person’s spreadsheet — and grew into the tool we wished existed.

The idea is simple: the books should keep themselves. Buy-ins and cash-outs are logged in seconds while the game runs, every session reconciles to the cent, and player credit carries forward so nothing ever rests on memory.

Features

Everything the host ends up doing by hand

Six jobs the app takes off the host’s plate, from the first buy-in to the last settle-up.

01

A live session board

Seat the table, then log buy-ins, re-entries, and cash-outs as they happen — from any phone at the table.

02

Books that balance themselves

Every session reconciles cash in against cash out and flags any discrepancy to the cent before you close the night.

03

IOUs that never get forgotten

Player credit is a first-class citizen — opening balances, per-player tabs, and settle-ups that carry across sessions.

04

Books that stay private

The club's financials sit behind a house PIN — visible to you, not to whoever borrows your phone.

05

Analytics for every regular

Lifetime net, $/hr, hours played, and trend charts for each player in your game.

06

Nights you missed, still counted

Batch-enter a finished session in one screen, or bring months of history in from a CSV.

How it works

From sign-up to square books in one game night

  1. 01

    Create your club

Sign in with Google or email and name your game. That's the whole setup — about two minutes, no credit card.

  2. 02

    Add your regulars

The roster is a one-time job: names, nicknames for the two Mikes, and any IOUs carried over from the paper era.

  3. 03

    Run game night

Set up the session, seat whoever showed up, and log buy-ins, re-entries, and cash-outs from any phone at the table.

  4. 04

    Close the books

Enter the final counts and the night reconciles to the cent. Player nets, IOUs, and every stat update themselves.

Missed a night? Batch-enter a finished session in one screen — or bring months of history in from a CSV — and the stats catch up as if you’d been here all along.

The tour

A game night in six slides

Swipe through what running a session actually looks like — the same flow whether it’s a phone at the table or a browser at home.

The check-in sheet: a tappable list of your regulars with three selected
01

Seat the table

Tap everyone who showed up. Walk-ins join mid-game.

The buy-in sheet: quick amounts, plus an on-credit toggle for IOUs
02

Log the game as it happens

Buy-ins and rebuys are two taps, each one timestamped.

The end-session sheet: final chip counts per player with live nets and totals
03

Close the night in one pass

Count chips as they come in. The night balances to the cent.

A player's IOU ledger: owes the house $40, with credit and repayments itemized
04

Let IOUs keep themselves

Credit lands on a tab that carries across sessions.

Player stat tiles: lifetime net, hourly rate, sessions, and best night
05

Watch the stats stack up

Lifetime net, $/hr and trends for every regular.

The CSV import screen with a downloadable template
06

Backfill anything you missed

Batch-enter past nights, or import from a spreadsheet.

Works everywhere

Any phone at the table. The full picture on a laptop.

Chip Logs runs in the browser, so there’s nothing to install and nothing to update. The live board is built for a phone in one hand — big tap targets and a bottom tab bar — while the same books open on a laptop for the deep work: reviewing a night, batch-entering history, importing and exporting CSVs.

  • Phone-first live board — log a buy-in in two taps
  • Every co-host's phone sees the same session, live
  • Desktop for the back office: history, stats, CSVs
  • One account, same books, every screen

Lives on your home screen

On an iPhone, open chiplogs.com in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen — the chip lands next to your apps and opens full-screen, no browser bars. On Android, Chrome offers Install app from its menu.
